Our client, a multinational manufacturing company specializing in animal health and nutrition, particularly food palatability, is seeking a Finance Director (APAC).
This role leads financial strategy and operations for the region, partnering with business leaders in a matrixed organization.
The responsibilities of the Finance Director include setting short- and long-term financial goals, overseeing the annual operating plan, ensuring internal controls, and maintaining compliance in a complex international environment.
Job responsibilities:
• Responsible for financial policies, forecasts, and budgets for APAC
• Monitor budgets, analyze financial data, and ensure compliance with reporting standards
• Providing and assessing financial analyses and other analyses, periodic reports (e.g. balances, P&L account, financial statements, and so on), cost calculations, and closing financial statements
• Contribute to annual and long-term strategic planning
• Establish principles for cost calculations and budgeting
• Manage administrative, insurance, and external accounting functions
• Provide financial leadership in decision-making and participate as an executive team member
• Focus on customer-first strategies, market competitiveness, and delivering superior pet food palatability products
• Complete performance and talent management activities on time
• Design and maintain administrative systems, procedures, and standards
• Track legislative developments, advise management, and coordinate fiscal matters with external entities
• Ensure efficient processes, assess team performance, and handle personnel matters
Qualifications:
• At least Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/ Business Administration
• 5 years of Finance Management experience, 3 years in a senior management position
• Prior experience working within a business operating system that utilizes Kaizen and other related tools for process improvement
• Hands-on, determined, persuasive, pro-active, analytical thinking capabilities and able to solve problems independently
• Decisive and results orientated with ability to proactively address opportunities and risks
• Excellent leadership, teamwork and people management skills (lead by example)
• Great in combining people skills with a business driven mindset
• Outstanding organizational, prioritization and time-management skills
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Strong knowledge of and experience with MS Excel
