Our client, a leading global food manufacturer known for its iconic snack brands and commitment to quality, is seeking a Utilities & Facilities Engineer for its new greenfield plant in Chonburi. In this role, you will manage utility systems and facility infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. You’ll be a key player in both the start-up and ongoing operations of the site.<br /> This is a great opportunity to be part of a greenfield launch—helping to build core infrastructure and shape a modern manufacturing environment focused on safety, innovation, and sustainability.<br /> <br /><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br /><ul><li>Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility systems, including: Steam and boiler systems, Chillers and cooling towers, Air compressors and compressed air systems, Water and wastewater treatment systems, Electrical distribution and backup power, and HVAC systems</li><li>Maintain buildings, infrastructure, fire protection systems, and general site services</li><li>Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs</li><li>Support site layout planning and infrastructure improvements</li><li>Monitor and optimize utility usage for energy efficiency and cost control</li><li>Drive energy-saving initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental regulations</li><li>Provide technical support for capital projects and equipment installations</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally during commissioning and scale-up activities</li><li>Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001)</li><li>Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for facility-related incidents</li><li>Manage service providers and maintenance contractors</li><li>Oversee contract performance and ensure quality and safety standards are met</li></ul><strong>Requirements</strong><br /><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in a utilities/facilities engineering role in a manufacturing setting (preferably FMCG or food industry)</li><li>Strong technical knowledge in mechanical/electrical systems and plant utilities</li><li>Familiar with ISO standards, EHS practices, and energy management</li><li>Strong problem-solving, planning, and coordination skills</li><li>Greenfield experience is a plus</li><li>Proficient in English and comfortable working in a multinational environment</li><li>Experience with CMMS systems and project management is a plus</li></ul>
